Mark Bushell
The World Football Exhibitions curatorial team is led by Mark Bushell who was the 'Founding Curator' of the National Football Museum in England. He will oversee all curatorial activity and is responsible for all international loans and exhibitions.
One of the leading football historians in Britain, Mark was the Consultant on Eyewitness Football, is a contributor to the Encyclopaedia of British Football, and is the co-author of Football's Greatest Heroes: The National Football Museum Hall of Fame and The Treasures Of The World Cup. He has written for many newspapers and magazines including the Guardian, The Sunday Times Handbook and Four Four Two. He also has his own weekly, football history column in the regional newspaper, The Lancashire Evening Post.
His opinions on the game are regularly sought after both on television and radio. He has appeared on countless occasions on television, including BBC's Newsnight, The Culture Show and Flog It programmes, and has contributed to many debates about the game on BBC Radio 5 Live, and BBC World Service together with numerous contributions to broadcasts across the world including Japan, China, Hong Kong, Canada and Brazil.
Mark has successfully delivered exhibitions to Japan, Hong Kong, Brazil, Germany, Belgium and Portugal.
Hugh Hornby
Hugh Hornby was part of the specialist team which created the stunning exhibitions of The National Football Museum in 2001. As Curator, he was responsible for the collections and their interpretation; loans to and from other museums, including overseas; and security. He has been involved in setting up football exhibitions in Japan, Portugal, Germany and Belgium.
He wrote Eyewitness Football for Dorling Kindersley, which has sold over 50,000 copies worldwide, as well as a weekly newspaper column for three years. He is an authority on football’s early history.
He studied history at Oxford University and is working on several books about sport, including two for English Heritage: Uppies and Downies – traditional football in Britain in the Played in Britain series; and Football for The Story of England.
Craig Nicholson
Craig is responsible for all exhibition/graphic design for overseas projects and is also responsible for delivering exhibition design at the National Football Museum. He also created the graphic treatments for the National Football Museum Hall of Fame and was the design consultant for the publication, Football's Greatest Heroes: The National Football Museum Hall of Fame.
