Everton join Liverpool with a World Football Exhibitions Bus

The new Stagecoach Everton FC bus outside Goodison Park On Tuesday 25th September World Football Exhibitions officially launched a brand new Everton Football Club branded bus on behalf of Stagecoach Merseyside. The Everton bus is the fourth football bus in the Stagecoach fleet following the launches of both single and double decker Liverpool FC Buses and a super-modern Preston North End bus. All buses have been created by World Football Exhibitions designers and launched at special, star-studded, ceremonies.

The idea behind the buses is to get people going to the match out of their cars and onto the bus. World Football Exhibitions Managing Director, Mark Bushell came up with the idea; “I would say that I am quite keen on green issues, speaking with colleagues we hit upon the idea to reduce the carbon footprint – or should I say carbon stud prints – of football. The first bus was for Liverpool Football Club, this idea developed into two buses, then a Preston North End bus, and now Everton too! This is all good news for football fans and helps the environment too.”

Not to be outdone by it’s city rivals the Everton bus details great moments from the club’s history – from it’s earliest roots as St Domingo’s FC, to, as Everton Football Club, being a founder member of the Football League in 1888, to the legendary and incomparable Dixie Dean, to the glories of the 1960’s, 1970’s and the clubs near dominance of English football in the 1980’s and their magnificent trophy haul.

Launching the Everton bus were Historic and modern-day Everton Legends. From the 1960’s and 1970’s was FA Cup Winner and Championship winning goalkeeping Legend Gordon West. From the highly successful 1980’s era were Club Captain Kevin Ratcliffe, star striker Graeme Sharp and winger Kevin Sheedy all of whom won the FA Cup, League Title and UEFA Cup Winners Cup with the Toffies. Everton’s Modern Legend and record signing Ayegbeni Yakubu completed the line-up and toasted the new bus on it’s launch.
