Liverpool Legend David Fairclough discusses his involvement in a special charity football chat show
Liverpool FC Soccer Legend, the original ‘Super-Sub’, David Fairclough has been speaking exclusively about his involvement in the upcoming Audience with the Soccer Legends: European Champions of Champions football chat show and gala dinner coming to Liverpool on Thursday 6th December.
The show has been organised by World Football Exhibitions Ltd and will raise monies for the charity Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline. Joining David at the show will be great names from European Football history including Sir Tom Finney, Gerard Houllier, Billy McNeill, Phil Thompson, Jack Charlton, Bruce Grobbelaar, Howard Kendall, Phil Neal, Paddy Crerand and others.
Speaking ahead of the show, David Fairclough had a great deal to say:
“If you’re interested in football, there’s a wide range of interest for people. Greats like Sir Tom Finney, Billy McNeill, Jack Charlton, all had great years of experience with their respective clubs in European Football. Also the likes of Howard Kendall will be there and Gerard Houllier so I’m sure people will learn some things that they’ve never heard before and I think there will be some humour and I think a lot of interest”
“Obviously Liverpool’s hosting the event so it’s fitting that there is a good Liverpool representation but the fact that they have the greatest of British clubs European histories is fitting that a number of the boys are going to be there – we had some fun winning the European Cup and some memorable moments so I think that World Football Exhibitions feels it fitting that Liverpool should be very much a big part of it.”
“I love to hear football stories and when you get them from a varied group of people then I think it makes for a great night. As I’ve said there’ll be some humour there but it’ll be a football education I think.”
Tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime show are available priced at £150+VAT or tables
